ARMADILLO 

I have been making Bunded Fuel Trailers for over 15 years mainly used on farms and landfill sites, etc.  I am also a part time farmer and I get irritated with the time I waste going to the garage to fuel my diesel road vehicles.

So I inquired at my local fuel supply company about the possibility of having my fuel delivered to me.  They are happy to deliver amounts as small as 500 Litres and I can save 2p per litre over the normal pump price.

However, my farm is by a river and unattended a lot of the time so security is a major concern.

The Armadillo is a very heavy fuel tank within a lockable, weather proof, heavy steel case (bund).  The case is longer than the tank so any spills are contained with in the case.  There is also room in the case to keep a drum of oil or petrol can, and other items, where spillage and security could be a problem.

The fuel can only be pumped out of the top of the tank, all filters and outlets are also on the top and have internal filters to prevent theft by siphoning. 

The Armadillo is designed to be as easy to use as an ordinary garage forecourt pump.  Just put the delivery gun in the vehicle, pull the trigger, and switch on the pump.  The gun shuts off when the tank is full and then you just switch off the pump.  The 230 Volt pump is supplied with a lead with a connection to a 13A socket and is fitted with a circuit breaker for complete safety.  For added security the lead can be unplugged form the pump and removed when not in use.  Complete instructions are in full view on the front of the tank.

Where electricity is not available a 12 volt system can be provided.  This comprises a pump hose, auto stop gun, 12 Volt battery (in case) and a lead to run of a cigarette lighter.

There is a fuel contents dial to indicate how much fuel is left in the tank.

When ordering please specify whether your Armadillo is to be used for the road (inside painted yellow) or Red Diesel (inside painted red).

The Armadillo is designed to give years of use so is heavily painted before assembly, it is the repainted to the standard finish colour of Dark Green, however, other colours are available.
